Purpose Based on the social network theory, this study investigates the impact of political ties on innovation performance. Besides, this study also tests a mediation role of absorptive capacity (AC) and a moderation role of technology turbulence. Design/methodology/approach A hypothetico-deductive approach is adopted to test the hypotheses. Data were collected from the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) managers/owners through a structured questionnaire. Findings Partial least square structural equation modeling technique is used to analyze the hypothesized relationships; the findings showed that political ties significantly impact the innovation performance, and this relationship is mediated by AC. Moreover, technological turbulence moderated the relationship between political ties and innovation performance. Originality/value Despite the increasing attention to the role of networking in improving innovation, there is a scarcity of studies on the role of political ties, AC and technology turbulence in fostering organizational innovation; thus, this study is a unique contribution to literature.

Purpose This paper aims to analyze the publication structure of academic research on green innovation (GI) between 2000 and 2019. Design/methodology/approach Bibliographic data on GI are extracted from the Scopus database, and then they were analyzed through VOSviewer software. Findings This paper analyzes 653 publications on GI from 2000 to 2019. For so doing, the study identifies the most productive countries, universities, authors, journals and the most prolific publications in GI. Besides, the study uses VOSviewer software to visualize the mapping based on co-citation, bibliographic coupling (BC) and co-occurrence of keywords. Originality/value The main contribution of the study is that it provides an overview of the trends and trajectories of GI, which may help the researchers and the practitioners to comprehend the trends and future research directions.

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management (CSREM) covering the period from 2003 to 2020. Data for the analysis is drawn from the Scopus database. The analysis of 875 publications reflects an admirable pursuit for intellectual excellence by the journal. It is starting with five citations in 2003; the journal has earned 6434 citations during the year 2020. Over the last 18 years, the journal has accumulated 22,770 citations. The paper provides an in‐depth insight into what has been achieved by the journal by analyzing bibliographic mapping of knowledge, intellectual structure of publications, contributions by universities, countries, and authors using bibliographic coupling (BC), co‐citations, and co‐occurrence (CC) methods. As the first retrospection of the journal, the study would be of interest to the readers, contributors, and the editorial board, as it offers inputs for future research.

Despite the growing significance of pro‐environmental behavior in the hospitality industry, empirically derived insights into its predictors and outcomes remain unexplored. Drawing upon the theory of social exchange and social identity theory, this study investigates the impact of hotels' employees' perception of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities on employees' voluntary pro‐environmental behavior (VPEB). The authors also examine the mediating roles of organizational pride and employee engagement (EE). Moreover, the moderating role of empathy is also investigated in the relationship between CSR and VPEB. We investigated our theoretical framework through a survey of 336 employees of selected luxury hotels in Pakistan. Findings reveal that CSR directly affects VPEB. Further, the parallel and sequential mediation of EE and organizational pride is also confirmed between CSR and VPEB. Moreover, empathy moderates the relationship between CSR and VPEB. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed at the end.

This study portrays an overview of the Technology Analysis & Strategic Management (TASM) Journal over the last 31 years. The work examines a broad range of performance aspects of the journal, such as citations and publications’ structure, most cited documents, most productive authors, countries, and universities. Besides, this study also presents the visualisation of co-citation, the bibliographic coupling of countries, co-citation, and co-occurrence of the most commonly used keywords. The results show a gradual increase in the number of citations and published documents, and this trend is expected to remain eulogised in the coming years. Results also predict that the developed countries are on top in terms of contribution to TASM.

The rising interest in environmental protection and sustainability has led to the emergence of a new research focus in human resource management (HRM) field. Scholars in this field have started to investigate how HRM can significantly contribute to achieving sustainable environmental goals and coined the term “green human resource management” (GHRM). Despite the growing interest in studying GHRM, few studies have examined its impact on positive employees' attitudes and behaviour in reducing firms' environmental footprint and enhancing business sustainability. Hence, to bridge this research gap, the present study expanded green research streams by investigating GHRM influence on pro‐environmental behaviours (PEBs) through the mediating effect of green commitment. SmartPLS was employed to test the theoretical framework from 342 valid responses. Present research findings reveal that GHRM practices influence employees' green commitment and PEBs. Moreover, the results also suggest that green commitment mediates the relationship between GHRM and PEBs. In the end, theoretical contributions and implications were discussed.

This study aims to analyse 27 years' bibliometric data of the Sustainable Development Journal (SD). The analysis of 874 publications exhibits multi‐folded growth, rising from 22 articles in 1993 to 121 articles by 2019. Moreover, the analysis of publication structure, as well as the mapping of bibliographic data based on co‐citation, bibliographic coupling (BC), and co‐occurrence (CC), showed the intellectual structure and the connection among the contributing universities, countries, and authors. As the first retrospection of the Journal, this study not only educates and enriches SD's global readers and aspiring contributors but also may be useful to its editorial board, as it provides several inputs to navigate for future research.

Promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) and co-creation has become a crucial relationship marketing strategy for the banks. This research empirically investigates how banks’ CSR activities generate positive customer responses in the form of co-creation, customer–company identification (CCI), and loyalty. This research sheds light on the influence of CSR on customer behavior by analyzing the underlying psychological processes through the sequential mediation of co-creation and CCI. Working with a sample of 280 banking customers in Pakistan, partial least square based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) is employed to test the conceptual model. CSR is a multidimensional formative construct that affects customer loyalty both directly and indirectly. Sequential partial mediations of co-creation and CCI are found between CSR activities and customer loyalty. Lastly, CCI has a direct and significant impact on co-creation and customer loyalty. Banks must include CSR in their long-term marketing plans to improve overall customer behavior because banks’ CSR activities result in customer identification and co-creation. Similarly, banks should welcome the customers’ participation in service design and use their knowledge and skills to improve overall service culture.

Employees’ voluntary green behavior (EVGB) is indispensable in realizing organizations’ environmental sustainability objectives. Leaders can act as catalysts to shape the behavior of their employees. On EVGB, noticeably the missing link is investigating the influence of servant leadership and the mechanism through which it operates. Building upon self-determination and psychological empowerment theories, this research examined the impact of servant leadership on EVGB through the simple and sequential mediation of psychological empowerment and autonomous motivation for the environment (AME). Through systematic sampling, dyadic data were collected from 315 pairs of subordinates and supervisors working in the power sector organizations of Pakistan. Results were obtained by employing the partial least squares structural modeling (PLS-SEM) technique with Smart-PLS 3.2.8 software. Findings revealed that psychological empowerment and AME simply and sequentially mediate the influence of servant leadership on EVGB. Implications for theory and organizational practitioners are offered, accompanied by suggestions for future research.
