Thomas Dippong (Associate Professor at the Technical University of Cluj Napoca) is a chemical engineer with a Ph.D. in chemistry. He is an expert in analytical chemistry, organic/inorganic chemistry, thermal treatment, instrumental analysis, and synthesis of nanomaterials. Dr Dippong has published 145 peer-reviewed publications (89 papers in high-ranked scientific ISI-Thomson journals (50 Q1, 15 Q2, and 24 Q3) and 56 in other national and international journals), with 1880 citations and an h-index of 36 (WoS). He has given 35 lectures at international conferences (the 14th ICTAC in Brazil, 5th CEEC-TAC in Roma, JTACC in Budapest, ESTAC in Brasov, etc.). He has also published 2 books with international publishing houses and 15 books with national publishing houses. In the last 3 consecutive years (2021–2023), Dr Thomas Dippong was included in the prestigious list of World’s Top 2% researchers. He has been a contract manager for many projects and is currently an active member of four projects. Dr. Dippong has reviewed 460 scientific articles for 97 ISI-Thomson journals. He has been a Guest Editor for four Special Issues published by three prestigious Q1 ISI-Thomson journals.
