Wenfeng Du obtained his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 2007, and in December 2012, he was promoted to Professor. Professor Du holds the qualification of a National Level Registered Structural Engineer and is currently a Distinguished Professor, Level 3 Professor, at Henan University, as well as the Director of the Institute of Steel and Space Structures at Henan University. In addition, he is the Director of the Henan Assembly Building Engineering Technology Research Centre and a member of the Natural Science Department of the Academic Committee of Henan University. Du Wenfeng is the leader of "Advanced Design and Intelligent Manufacturing of Structures", a scientific and technological innovation team of universities in Henan Province, a leader of the 9th batch of key disciplines of civil engineering in Henan Province, and an excellent young science and technology expert in Henan Province and was selected as a high-level talent of category C in 2020 in Henan Province. His research interests include steel and space structures, structural optimization, intelligent design, and 3D printing. He has presided over and completed 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, as well as 17 provincial, ministerial and enterprise lateral projects. His research results have won 11 scientific and technological awards, including the Henan Provincial Youth Science and Technology Award and the Science and Technology Progress Award.
