Purpose: The main concern of this research is to examine the indirect effects servant leadership on organisational sustainability (OS) through creativity and psychological resilience in the hoteling sector in Malaysia.Design/methodology/approach: A survey method based on a questionnaire was employed to gather data from 441 employees working in the hotel industry in Malaysia. The partial least squares technique, SmartPLS3.3.7, was employed to examine the hypotheses.Findings: The result of the study found support for effect of servant leadership on creativity and psychological resilience. In addition, the effect of creativity and psychological resilience on OS was supported. Moreover, the mediation role of creativity and psychological resilience between servant leadership and organisational suitability was also supported by data.Originality/value: This is a pioneering study that has combined human capital elements (i.e. servant leadership, creativity and psychological resilience) to examine their impacts on OS. Besides, this work has established comparatively new relationships, i.e. the impact of servant leadership on OS through the mediating role of creativity and psychological resilience. In addition, this study has developed relatively new link between psychological resilience and OS. In addition, it has confirmed the validity and reliability of servant leadership and OS at first and second orders.

In this bibliometric study, we used the Scopus database to analyse 2188 articles on leadership development in higher education published between 2013 and 2023. We examined publication output and research interest, preferred journals, leading countries, regions, authors, articles and institutions, subject areas and author keywords. Visualisation tools such as VOSviewer were used to gain a comprehensive understanding of patterns and trends in the literature. Recent studies have underscored the importance of leadership development in higher education, particularly in the context of evolving global educational standards (Day et al., (Day et al. in Leadersh Q 25:63–82, 2014); Žalėnienė & Pereira, (Žalėnienė and Pereira in Geography Sustain 2:99–106, 2021)). The results show a fluctuating increase in literature production since 2013, with a significant increase in production after 2020. This surge is attributed to the recognition that leadership is a key competency in shaping the future, especially in the face of the complexity and uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The study also shows that the United States is the most productive country, accounting for more than 50 percent of the total output of the 15 most productive countries. Notably, nine of the 15 most productive universities in these major countries are located in the United States. This highlights the important role that the United States plays in leading the global focus on leadership development in higher education. This study has important implications not only for academics, but also for policy makers, educators and leaders. Through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis, our aim is to contribute to the scholarly discourse on leadership development and higher education, and to encourage deeper discussion and continued innovation in these areas. Examining the development of leadership in higher education over the past decade provides valuable insights that inform research across various social domains. It contributes to a deeper understanding of the development of the field of leadership research in higher education over the past decade, highlighting key aspects of the field, contributors, research priorities and emerging trends. Our study contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by enhancing understanding of leadership development in higher education (SDG 4: Quality Education) and fostering international collaboration (SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals) (in Transforming our world: the 2030 agenda for sustainable development, United Nations General Assembly, New York, 2015).

Manufacturing companies are facing rapid and unanticipated changes in their business environment. Most of these companies need to find new strategies to remain competitive in the market. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to integrate the Fuzzy Analytical Network Process (ANP) and VIKOR methods to evaluate the green agile factors and sub-factors in the dairy companies in Iran. To find the green agile factors and sub-factors, this study used the expert’s opinions and literature review. Data is collected from four dairy companies. The results of this study showed that the most important green agility factors are: trust-based relationship with suppliers, flexible production capacity, versatile workers, compliance with quality standards for a new product, and workers’ willingness to learn. In addition, the results indicated that the green agility organization is one of the strategies that help companies to stay in the market. To validate the results, this study used four methods, including TOPSIS, ARAS, EDAS, and MABAC. The necessity of a reaction to the increasing customer choices, environmental concerns, and competitiveness among manufacturers across the globe has engaged the industry to embrace innovative manufacturing strategies.

Due to the upward trend in the globalization of sustainability issues and the intense competitive environment, it is evident that higher education institutions need new strategic approaches to succeed. To this end, the inquiry for this paper has been made into the debate about student relationship management. Going through the literature indicates that institutions have mainly perceived the concept as a technological initiative for solving the problems in individual domains, accompanied by uncoordinated efforts. Thus, the aims of this study are to theoretically present the critical success factors of this strategic approach and to empirically examine the recognized factors. To do so, a confirmatory factor analysis that is a quantitative analytic method was performed. The results and analyses revealed that there has been a significant correlation between the four critical success factors including knowledge management, student relationship management technology, student orientation, and employees’ involvement. It was also found that these factors are significantly correlated with the construct of student relationship management success. The findings have consequently highlighted that in addition to the technological tool, the role of knowledge management, employees’ involvement, and student orientation appeared to be particularly important for the implementation of the application.

With the growing global emphasis on sustainable development, leadership’s contribution to shaping employees’ pro-environmental behavior has garnered increasing attention. Despite growing interest, research on the links connecting distinct leadership approaches with employee green behavior (EGB) and organizational citizenship behavior for the environment (OCBE) remains limited and insufficiently systematic. This research systematically analyzed 91 articles obtained through a search of the Scopus database, using bibliometric analysis for quantitative evaluation, content analysis for systematic interpretation, and VOSviewer for keyword network visualization. The descriptive analysis categorizes the findings into six classes: (1) landscape structure, (2) examined leadership styles, (3) research methods, (4) theories, (5) transmission mechanisms, and (6) modifier factors. The findings reveal that the most frequently discussed leadership styles are ethical leadership, which is primarily associated with EGB, and responsible leadership, which is mainly linked to OCBE. Quantitative research dominates in this field. Previous studies have largely employed social learning (SL) theory and social identity (SI) theory. Psychological green climate and psychological ownership are the most frequently examined mediators between leadership and both EGB and OCBE. This review synthesizes empirical evidence on which leadership styles promote EGB and OCBE. It systematically summarizes the prevailing theories and explains how leadership influences environmental behavior through mediating and moderating pathways, offering both theoretical insights and practical implications. Additionally, it provides future research recommendations concerning methodology, leadership styles, and exploration of mediating and moderating variables.
