My name is Alibi Kaziyev, and I am a biotechnology and molecular genetics specialist working at the National Scientific Center of Phthisiopulmonology in Kazakhstan. My professional work focuses on tuberculosis, particularly the molecular detection and characterization of drug resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. I am also interested in whole-genome sequencing, bioinformatics, non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), respiratory pathogens, and antimicrobial resistance. My research interests include combining molecular and phenotypic approaches to improve the diagnosis and understanding of drug-resistant infections. Beyond my professional work, I am passionate about scientific development, learning new technologies, traveling, and continuously expanding my knowledge. My personal mission is to use modern biotechnology and genomic approaches to contribute to better infectious disease diagnostics and more effective solutions to antimicrobial resistance.
