Aderemi A. Atayero received a B.Sc. degree in Radio Engineering and an M.Sc. degree in Satellite Communication Systems, in 1992 and 1994, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree from the Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation (MSTUCA), in 2000. He served as the pioneer Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), the Coordinator School of engineering, and twice as the Head of the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering. He is currently a Professor of communication engineering and the Vice Chancellor with Covenant University, Nigeria. He is also the Head of IoT-Enabled Smart and Connected Communities (SmartCU) research cluster. He has a number of scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals and proceedings to his credit. His current research interests include Communication Engineering, including wireless sensor networks, wireless (mobile) communications, the Internet of Things (IoT), and smart cities. He is a member of other professional bodies and a COREN Registered Engineer. He was a recipient of various awards and scholarships including the 2009 Ford Foundation Teaching Innovation Award. He is on the Editorial Board of the Covenant Journal of Science and Technology and of several other International Journals.
