Prof. Dr. Favio Cala Vitery is Director of the PhD Program in Modeling for Politics and Public Management at Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. He holds a PhD in philosophy from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where his award-winning thesis examined the interpretation of space-time, alongside prior training in the history of science and in theoretical physics/cosmology after graduating with honors in physics (UIS). While he continues to work on foundations of physics, his recent interests center on principles and the modeling and simulation of social systems for public policy and management. He integrates this agenda with his program leadership, fostering doctoral research and scientific publications.
