Dr. Carly Filgueira obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry Magna Cum Laude from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Filgueira then obtained her masters and doctorate degrees in Chemistry from Rice University. Dr. Filgueira joined Houston Methodist as a postdoctoral student, where she focused on nuclear hormone receptors. She is currently a member of the Department of Nanomedicine, with appointments as Assistant Member in the Research Institute and Assistant Professor of Nanomedicine in the Academic Institute and with the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery.
