Prof. Dr. Clara Vasconcelos is an Associate Professor with Habilitation in the Department of Geosciences, Environment, and Spatial Planning and the Science Education Unit at the University of Porto, Portugal Faculty of Sciences. She coordinates the “Social and Educational Innovation” research group at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Marine and Environmental Research. She represents Portugal in the International Geoscience Education Organization, serves as a Commissioner for IUGS in COGEducation, and is the National Co-Coordinator for the International Association for the Promotion of Geoethics. She is a member of the Expert Panel on Education of the European Federation of Geology and a consultant for the Brazilian Society of Geology in the Education and Geoethics sections. She is also the editor of the “Education in Geoscience” collection for the Geoscience journal.
