Daniel Friedrich is a senior lecturer in Mathematics for Engineering Applications in the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, where he leads the Thermal Energy theme at Energy@Ed. His research interests are in mathematical modelling, simulation and optimisation of energy systems, which includes the accurate and efficient simulation of complete energy systems, domestic heating and cooling systems and the integration of thermal energy storage.
