Dr. Digna Rueda-Roa is a Scientific Researcher at the University of South Florida's College of Marine Science. In 2002, she earned her M.Sc. in marine biology from Universidad de Oriente, Venezuela, and her Ph.D. in biological oceanography from the University of South Florida in 2012. Following her Ph.D., she held positions as a Consultant at UNESCO, a Marine Biologist and Research Associate at Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas (IVIC), and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tampa. Since February 2015, she has been conducting interdisciplinary research at the University of South Florida, focusing on biodiversity, temporal and spatial distribution of organisms, and coastal and ocean biological changes, within the framework of physical processes.
