Enrico Gianluca Caiani has a degree in Electronics and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi), where he is since 2005, before as Researcher and (since 2014) Associate Professor. He is member of the School of Doctoral Studies in Data Analytics and Decision Science at PoliMi. He teaches at Master level the courses of Biomedical Image Processing Lab and eHelath: Applications. From 2016-18 he was the Chair of the Working Group of e-Cardiology of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and he is now involved in the Digital Health, Regulatory Affairs, and Advocacy Commiittees, also representing ESC at European level in both the EU eHealth Stakeholders group, and the EU Medical Device Coordination Group - New Technologies. Since 2020, he has been nominated Fellow of the ESC. He is author of 135 scientific indexed publication and and Guest Editor of 2 Special Issues. His research activity is in the field of health data science, from signal to image processing, and more recently focusing also in public health problems using GIS and Emergency Medical Services data.
