Francisco J. Otero-Espinar is a Professor of Pharmacology, Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Santiago de Compostela. He graduated and received a doctorate in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Santiago de Compostela and is a specialist in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, and Industrial Pharmacy and the Analysis and Control of Medications and Drugs by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports. His research interests include biopharmacy, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical technology, and new materials for drug delivery systems. He is a member and the past president of the Spanish Society of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology (SEFIG) and a member of the Spanish Portuguese Local Chapter of the Controlled Release Society.
