Dr. Gomaa Ali is an Associate Professor at the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Egypt. He has 16 years of experience working in the research areas of materials science, humidity sensing, graphene, supercapacitors, water treatment, and drug delivery. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Advanced Nanomaterials for Energy Storage from UMP, Malaysia. He is the recipient of some national and international prizes and awards such as ARSCO Award 2022, TWAS-AREP (2018), Obada International Prize (2021), Arab Water Council Award 2022, Individuals Award from ASRT, 2021, Gold Medal (Archimedes, Russia, 2014), Green Technology Award (CITREX, Malaysia, 2015), Gold Medal (BIS, UK, 2015). Dr Gomaa has been included in Stanford University’s List of World’s Top 2% of Scientists, Egypt, 2020-2022. He has published over 150 articles and 30 book chapters. So far, he has more than 5617 citations and an h-index of 47. He is an Editor of many international journals and a reviewer for more than 100 WoS journals. He is a member of national and international scientific societies, such as TWAS Affiliate, AAS Affiliate, American Chemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, the National Committee of Pure and Applied Chemistry, and the Egyptian Young Academy of Sciences, ASRT.
