Biography

Ikram Ullah is a researcher at the College of Horticulture, Northwest A&F University, China. His research focuses on gene editing and molecular breeding of horticultural crops, with particular emphasis on regulatory networks and signaling pathways governing plant responses to abiotic and biotic stresses. His work integrates CRISPR/Cas-based genome editing, transcription factor-mediated regulation, as well as overexpression and VIGS technologies to functionally characterize key genes involved in stress tolerance. He is especially interested in elucidating complex gene regulatory pathways and translating these findings into innovative strategies for improving crop resilience, productivity, and sustainable agricultural systems.
