I am a Full-Time Research Professor, Level A, in the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies, Yuriria campus, at the University of Guanajuato. I am a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII), Level I, and hold the PRODEP Desirable Profile recognition. I have served as coordinator of the Master’s Program in Applied Electronic Engineering, the Master’s Program in Technology Management, and the Doctoral Program in Engineering Sciences. My academic career includes publications in JCR-indexed journals, papers in national and international conference proceedings, supervision of doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate theses, as well as the development of national patents related to the design of optical systems. My research lines focus on digital signal and image processing, optoelectronic systems applied to robotic vision, spectral and time-frequency analysis, depth-of-field and image enhancement, encryption and analysis of signals and images, fault detection in industrial machinery and induction motors, analysis of power-quality disturbances, and FPGA-based hardware design and implementation for digital processing applications.
