I hold a Bachelor's degree in Genetics, a Master's degree in Plant Pathology, and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences. I am currently a university lecturer and a researcher at CONICET.
The main research objectives are:
-To study the fungal diversity of the Fusarium genus present in different substrates.
-To identify the toxigenic potential and/or the toxins produced by these pathogens.
-To evaluate the pathogenic and genetic variability of species within the Fusarium genus.
-To identify germplasm that is resistant or tolerant to the disease and/or to the accumulation of toxins caused by Fusarium species.
-To study the physiological and molecular interaction mechanisms related to signaling and the expression of different genes involved in pathosystems, using Brachypodium distachyon and Arabidopsis thaliana as model species, in order to increase understanding of these interactions and identify genes of interest.
