Mercedes Rodríguez-Fernández is a Professor in the area of Business Organization
attached to the Faculty of Social and Labor Studies where she coordinates the teaching of a subject in English called Work Organization. She also teaches at the School of Industrial Engineering in the Master of Industrial Engineering and participates as an evaluator in the Doctorate in Economics and Business of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Malaga. She has held various management positions, such as Secretary of the Faculty or Vice-Dean of International Mobility and Economic Management in the Faculty of Social Studies. She leads the Organizational Performance Research Group (SEJ603) composed of eight active PhDs. She has been visiting professor at different North American Universities: University of Ottawa, Saint Paul University, Carleton University, University of Cincinnati, or Wake Forest Baptist University. She has created the Teaching Network of Excellence with Wake Forest University and Dartmouth College (USA).
She has directed and participated in seven different research projects and contracts with public
ACV Date 09/01/2022 and private companies. Evaluator of 48 papers in 11 journals indexed in JCR. Editor of Special Issue Topical Collection "Sustainable Health Tourism" 2019-2022. Winner of the I Camilo Prado Foundation Award for Research in Business Economics and Other Financial Institutions. She has participated in the creation of two family companies.
