Dr. Moksadur Rahman

I am a Mechanical Engineer. Passionate about working on challenging projects where I can acquire new skills and master existing ones. I enjoy work that involves challenge, variety, activity, and people. Completing my masters in a highly collaborative and truly international program (SELECT) from two top European Universities in the field of Sustainable Energy and Entrepreneurship made me a well-rounded Engineer. In addition to that, working in a multinational giant (Unilever) and a top-notch research institute (KTH), equipped me with skills that are required to go an extra mile. At present, I am continuing my doctoral studies at Mälardalen University, Sweden in the area of process modelling, advanced process control and diagnostics, particularly focusing on Pulp and Papermaking, and micro gas turbines (http://bit.ly/MOKSADURRAH). The goal of my research is to develop a learning system that will be an add-on to the plant supervisory system to enable optimal control, diagnostics and decision support. When I am not on the Job, I love to play with my daughter, go fishing, walk in the greens, cook spicy food and indulging my love for exploring new places. I am always open to the world of opportunities that come my way. As always, the challenge is my greatest motivator.
