Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande (1977), a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (1992) and a doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (1996). Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande, he has experience in the areas of chemical engineering and food engineering, with an emphasis on industrial food production facilities and separation and mixing processes, working mainly on the following subjects: food drying, adsorption, use of waste, transport phenomena, effluent treatment, statistical modeling, and nanotechnology.
