Roozbeh Soltani is a PhD candidate in Chemistry at Dalhousie University, working in the Alexander Baker SPRG Lab. His research focuses on the design and development of functional hydrogel systems, including bioorthogonal click chemistry, peptide synthesis, and conductive hydrogels for advanced biomedical applications.
He obtained his BSc in Applied Chemistry and MSc in Organic Chemistry from Isfahan University of Technology, Iran, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Dinari. His academic and research background spans nanomaterial synthesis, adsorbent materials, environmental water remediation, hydrogel engineering, and conductive polymers.
He has extensive experience in the synthesis, functionalization, and characterization of advanced materials for environmental and biomedical applications, with a strong focus on adsorption-based systems and polymeric networks.
In addition, he is an active international peer reviewer with more than 100 completed manuscript reviews for scientific journals in the fields of chemistry, materials science, and environmental research. His current work integrates polymer chemistry, supramolecular interactions, and biofunctional materials toward next-generation solutions in healthcare and environmental technologies.
