Information

Sabrina Carroccio received the Master's Degree in Industrial Chemistry (110/110 cum laude) and Ph.D. - from the University of Catania in 1997 and 2002, respectively. She is been working since 2001 at the IPCB-CNR developing novel MS characterization methods for the determination of degradation products of polymeric matrices. From 2016 to 2020 she was temporarily assigned to IMM-CNR, to study polymer-based hybrid nanocomposites for water remediation by adsorption and photocatalysis. Her research interests include the formulation of nanocomposites and thermal, photo, and thermo oxidation studies. She has been responsible for several research agreements CNR-enterprises, PI of research units, and coordinator in national projects, as well as a participant at international projects. Since 2016 she is a member of the Italian board of the Macromolecular Science and Technology Association (AIM) and guest editor of special issues for MPDI journals. She held several invited talks and international keynotes. Tutoring of master and Ph.D. students as well as teaching activities are also part of her scientific work. She has authored 57 peer-reviewed papers, 6 book chapters, 1 patent, and more than 60 contributions to National and International meetings. To date, Sabrina Carola Carroccio has received more than 1280 citations, which yield an H-index of 24. (source: Scopus).
