Dr. Sebastian Fingerhuth (Member, IEEE) received a bachelor’s degree (E.Eng.) from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) in 2003, and a Ph.D. degree (Dr.-Ing.) in acoustics from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, in 2009. He is also a math and physics teacher. As a Ph.D. researcher and engineer, he worked on acoustic, psychoacoustic, vibrations, and noise reduction projects with RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He is currently a full-time professor with the School of Electrical Engineering, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. He is working on projects in areas, such as acoustics, structural vibration, instrumentation, sensors, and signal processing. He is a member of the German Acoustic Society (DEGA) and the American Society of Acoustics (ASA).
