I am a neuroscientist specialising in molecular biology and genetics, with a strong track record of scientific independence and innovation. My research focuses on the biological mechanisms of the gut microbiota–brain axis in the aetiology of Alzheimer’s disease, an area in which I am developing a conceptually novel and independent line of investigation. This work represents the foundation for my long-term academic career in neuroscience. I have received several prestigious international awards and recognitions. These include the International Brain Research Organisation (IBRO) Asia-Pacific Region Council (APRC) Grant to attend a two-week associate school at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India (2013), and the SFN-IBRO Travel Grant to participate in the 47th Annual Meeting of Neuroscience 2017 in Washington, DC, USA. I was also awarded a postgraduate travel grant for the 14th Meeting of the Asian Pacific Society for Neurochemistry (2016), and in 2018, I was honored by the Lindau Nobel Laureate Council to attend the prestigious meeting with Nobel Laureates in Lindau, Germany. Through this combination of innovative research focus, international recognition, and high-level training, I am well-positioned to establish a successful academic career and make meaningful contributions to the field of neuroscience.
