Tadeusz Gudra graduated at the Wroclaw University of Technology, Faculty of Electronics, where later obtained PhD and D.Sc. degrees. In 2015 he was appointed Full Professor of Technical Sciences. As holder postdoc fellowship he realized two research grants: in Instituto de Acustica, Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC), Madrid (1990) and DAAD research grant in Physikalisches Institut J.W. Goethe Universitat, Frankfurt am Main (1995). He is a member of the European Acoustics Association. He is author or co-author of 294 scientific papers and 22 patents. He leads the Ultrasonic Group in Department of Acoustics and Multimedia, Faculty of Electronics, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Prof. Gudra is the laureate of many different awards, among others, is the laureate of the Team Award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for Scientific Achievements (2008). His research is focused on the development of ultrasonic apparatus and devices, with research interests across physical, industrial and medical applications of ultrasonic technology. His research resulted, as co-author, in design of the ultrasonic tomograph for breast imaging and early detection of cancer changes, which is currently in the implementation stage. He is also acting Section Editor in scientific journal „Archives of Acoustics”.
