Zhiping Xu (MIEEE'21--SMIEEE'24) received the Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from Xiamen University, Xiamen, China, in 2021. He is currently a Lecturer with the School of Ocean Information Engineering, Jimei University, Xiamen, China. His current research interests include channel coding, joint source-channel coding and their applications to wireless communication, underwater acoustic communications, maritime communication, semantic communication, wireless body area networks, the Internet of Things, and synthetic aperture sonar/radar systems. He has authored more than 20 journal and conference papers, including IEEE COMML., IEEE WCL., IEEE TWC,  IEEE JSTARS, Remote Sensing, and so on. His h-index is 7.
