Abbas F. Jasim was born in Kirkuk, Iraq, on June 29, 1980. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees with honors in Highway and Transportation Engineering from Mustansiriyah University, Baghdad, Iraq, in 2002 and 2006, respectively. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University, Piscataway, New Jersey, USA, in 2018. His research interests include pavement materials, pavement simulation, sustainable transportation infrastructure, and roadway energy harvesting using piezoelectric materials. He has published several peer-reviewed research articles in international journals focusing on sustainable pavement systems, renewable energy applications, and transportation infrastructure technologies.
