MXenes have been highly attractive to researchers owing to their layered nanostructure, excellent electrical conductivity, and abundance of functional groups. Meanwhile, nanocellulose materials, known for their biodegradability, renewability, compatibility with living organisms, and cost-effectiveness, have emerged as a popular choice for material selection researchers. Recent research has discovered that combining nanocellulose with MXenes can improve the mechanical properties of MXenes, resulting in composite materials with remarkable electrical and mechanical properties. This article provides an overview of the three main types of nanocellulose: cellulose nanofiber, cellulose nanocrystal, and bacterial cellulose. It also discusses various synthesis methods for MXenes, including MXene/nanocellulose-based hydrogel and aerogel. Additionally, the article highlights the multiple uses of MXene/nanocellulose composites in different fields, including flexible sensing materials, electromagnetic shielding, energy storage structures, and wearable health monitoring. This review covers distinctive characteristics and unique MXene/nanocellulose composite behaviors, their recent advancements in MXene/nanocellulose synthesis, and applications. Moving forward, the potential for these materials to be used innovatively with anticipation of taking the MXene/nanocellulose-based research further steps across the respective scientific community.

ERP has been adopting newer features over the last several decades and shaping global businesses with the advent of newer technologies. This research article uses a state-of-the-art review method with the purpose to review and synthesize the latest information on the possible integration of potential Industry 4.0 technologies into the future development of ERP. Different software that contributed to the development of the existing ERP is found to be Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII), and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM). Potential disruptive Industry 4.0 technologies that are featured to be integrated into future ERP are artificial intelligence, business intelligence, the internet of things, big data, blockchain technology, and omnichannel strategy. Notable Critical Success Factors of ERP have been reported to be top management support, project team, IT infrastructure, communication, skilled staff, training & education, and monitoring & evaluation. Moreover, cybersecurity has been found to be the most challenging issue to overcome in future versions of ERP. This review article could help future ERP researchers and respective stakeholders contribute to integrating newer features in future versions of ERP.

The integration of sustainable components in automotive parts is in growing demand. This study involves the entire process, from the extraction of kenaf cellulosic fibers to the fabrication of automotive parts by applying injection molding (sample only) and Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) techniques. Fibers were pretreated, followed by moisture content analysis before composite fabrication. The composite was fabricated by integrating the fibers with polypropylene, maleic anhydride polypropylene (MAPP), unsaturated polyester, and epoxy resin. Mechanical tests were done following ASTM D5083, ASTM D256, and ASTM D5229 standards. The RTM technique was applied for the fabrication of parts with reinforced kenaf long bast fibers. RTM indicated a higher tensile strength of 55 MPa at an optimal fiber content of 40%. Fiber content from 10% to 40% was found to be compatible with or better than the control sample in mechanical tests. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) images showed both fiber-epoxy-PE bonding along with normal irregularities in the matrix. The finite element simulations for the theoretical analysis of the mechanical performance characteristics showed higher stiffness and strength in the direction parallel to the fiber orientation. This study justifies the competitiveness of sustainable textile fibers as a reinforcement for plastics to use in composite materials for automotive industries.

In this study, 100% polyester mesh fabrics were used as ham nets. The nets were treated with 40% propylene glycol (PG), 1% propylene glycol alginate (PGA), and 1% carrageenan. The treated and untreated nets were evaluated to determine any significant changes in terms of mechanical properties. Fabric weight (ASTM D3776), elastic properties (BS EN 14704-1:2005), abrasion resistance (ASTM D4966) and breaking strength (ASTM D5034-09) were tested. The morphology of 100% polyester fiber was also observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images. Surface morphology of both treated and untreated fabric was also observed. No significant changes occurred in the mechanical properties that would affect the dry-cured ham aging process. Treated samples were stronger than untreated samples with respect to abrasion resistance, weight of the fabric in unit area (GSM), and tensile strength. This study indicates that these nets could be used to age dry-cured hams as part of a methyl bromide replacement strategy.
