Dr. Angelika Anna Adamus-Grabicka is an
assistant professor at the Department of Bioinorganic Chemistry Faculty of
Pharmacy Medical University of Lodz. She is involved in teaching, and teaching
students pharmacy and medical analytics. Her main occupation is scientific work
aimed at the synthesis of new biologically active compounds. Her main direction
of scientific research is the synthesis of biologically active compounds
belonging to flavonoids and spiropyrazolines. She focuses on searching for
relationships between biological activity and the structure of the obtained
compounds. Physicochemical tests include docking, X-ray structural analysis, and
increasing water solubility using cyclodextrin inclusion complexes. Biological
tests include anticancer activity against selected cancer cell lines: leukemia,
colon cancer, colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, and melanoma.
