Antoni Perez-Navarro obtained a PhD in physics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2000. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in physics, also from UAB, in 1995. Between 2017 and 2020, he held the position of Deputy Director of Research at the eLearn Center at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and has been a lecturer in the Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunication department (EIMT department) since 2005. Apart from his activities at UOC, he has worked, since the year 2007, at Escola Universitària Salesiana de Sarrià (EUSS). His main research interests are indoor positioning, prevention of diseases via smartphones, and eLearning. He has published several papers in international journals pm all these topics and acts as reviewer of several journals. He is part of the Technical Program Committee of IPIN and is one of the organizers of the Symposium “Challenges of Fingerprinting in Indoor Positioning and Navigation” that was held in Barcelona in 2015.
