The purposes of this study are to explain the conditions of supply chain for organic rice product and to determine the supply chain risk order organic rice products in MUTOS Seloliman. Risk measurement is performed using fuzzy FMEA method then the risk priority level is obtained. The supply chain structure of organic rice product consist of farmers as suppliers, MUTOS as manufacturer, PT Herbal Estate, PPLH Surabaya, Kaliandra, and CV Mandalabimasakti SM as distributors, and Ranch Market Galaxy Mall as retailer and consumer. The distribution network of organic rice product is retail storage with customer pickup network. The priority risk order in this supply chain based on research from the highest risk to the lowest risk are risk of product return, risk of damage or loss quality, risk of product contamination during process, risk of lack of stock, risk of competitor existence, quality incompability risk, risk of contain chemical contaminants, risk of supply delays, risk of processing delays, risk of damage during process, risk of machine damage during process, risk of demand changing, risk of damaged during storage, and risk of production decreased

The main product of mature coconuts is coconut meat, while its by-products consisting of coconut water, shell fiber and coir. Coconut coir contains 75% fiber and 25% cork. The high value of fiber in coconut coir provides an opportunity to be utilized in making paper. Coconut fiber has a cellulose content of 26.6%-43.44% and lignin of 29.4%-45.84%. Due to the high lignin content, delignification process should be carried out which can be done using sodium hydroxide (NaOH). This study aims to obtain the optimal point of addition of NaOH and cooking time to produce optimal cellulose and lignin levels in the delignification of the mature coconut fiber pulping process. The research method uses the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) with two factors and two optimized responses. The experimental design was performed with a central composite design. The variables involved were NaOH concentration (5-15%) and cooking time (90-150 minutes). Two responses studied were lignin and cellulose content. The combination of these treatments produces the optimum point of NaOH concentration of 5% and cooking time of 150 minutes, resulting in 15.56% lignin content and 37.29 % cellulose content.

The purpose of this study is to provide information on the conditions of horticultural products supply chain that is managed by the Cooperative Brenjonk and identifying performance problems that occur from the beginning of the process of organic products to be a viable product to be marketed. This study uses the identification of supply chain performance to determine the performance of each supply chain actors. Identification used is the identification of supply chain performance in phase 1 and 2, where the first stage of the planning elements are identified, supply, process, delivery and returns. In phase 2 conducted in-depth identification of the identification performance on stage 1. Respondents experts used are the primary members of the supply chain of horticultural products. Performed on the identification results obtained in phase 1 that each actor has a horticulture supply chain constraints on the 5 elements namely supplier with 12 obstacles, with 14 manufacturing constraints, distributors and retailers with a 3 constraint with 4 constraints. Constraints are most numerous in the manufacturing and the most dominant elements contained in the make. The results of the first stage followed by analysis of the phase 2. Stage 2 found elements that affect the source-stocked-product (S1), make-to-order (M2), delivering on-stocked product (D1) and return defective product (SR1) and deliver excess return product (DR3)

Baby java orange (Citrus sinensis) is commonly consumed as juice. Processing of baby java orange leaves organic waste which consist of the mesocarp, exocarp, seed, and wall of the orange. Therefore, it is necessary to process baby java orange waste to be valuable products. The purpose of this study was to provide added value to unutilized baby java orange waste, and to find out the pretreatment of time-delay process that maximize the yield of essential oil produced. Essential oil processing can be done by water and steam distillation. The study used randomized block design with one factor namely distillation time-delay process by air drying consisted of 4 levels i.e. the distillation delay for 2, 4, 6, and 8 days. The best treatment was determined based on the yield. The best essential oil from baby java orange waste was obtained from the treatment of distillation delay-process of 8 days. This pretreatment generated yield value of 0.63% with moisture content of 24.21%. By estimating the price of essential oil showed that this effort not only reduced the bulky organic waste but also provided potential economical value.

Areca nut (Areca catechu L.) is a type of palm used for commercial purposes because all parts of the plant -have high economic value. Areca nut fibre contains 53.2% cellulose and therefore, it can potentially be used as raw material for pulp for paper craft. Bleaching is conducted in order to make colourful paper craft. Some factors to be taken into account while bleaching the paper craft are levels of chemicals used for bleaching and length of bleaching time. The purpose of this study was to determine H2O2 level and optimum bleaching time to create quality paper from areca fibres and cardboard paper. Quality of the paper was evaluated based on tensile strength, thickness, grammage and brightness. Response surface method (RSM) is implemented optimize the estimated response. The model used in RSM is CCD (Central Design Composite) with 2 factors, namely bleaching time and H2O2. The upper and lower limit for the first factor were 90 and 150 minutes consecutively. Those for the second factor were 5% and 15% respectively. The evaluate responses were tensile strength and brightness level. The findings showed that the most suitable combination was 150-minutes bleaching time and 15% H2O2. The combination resulted in 69.50% brightness and 14.71 kN/m2 tensile strength. In addition, the paper grammage was 282 gr/cm2, its thickness was 0.88 mm and the moisture content was 6.5.
