Biography

Branka Hadžić, PhD, Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Physics, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Branka Hadžić began her scientific research at the Institute of Physics in Belgrade, within the Laboratory for Electronic Materials, in 2005. Her research is focused on material physics, specifically semiconductor crystals, thin films, nanoparticles, and nanostructures. She is oriented towards experimental work, data processing, modeling, and theoretical analysis of the examined materials. The experimental work and data processing is based on the investigation of materials using Raman spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, and photoluminescence, as well as the analysis of XRD, SEM, and TEM spectra. The examination of the structural, optical, and magnetic properties of zinc oxide nanopowders, along with the dependence of these properties on the sample preparation method, concentration, type of dopant, formed phases, changes in system ordering, symmetry breaking, and the influence of the used laser radiation, is also conducted. The registration of surface optical phonons in these structures due to symmetry breaking, and their behavior upon changes in concentration, type of dopant, and laser radiation are also the behavior upon changes in concentration, type of dopant, and laser radiation are also the focus of her interest. At the same time, the magnetic properties of these samples are studied by examining susceptibility.
