The development of genomic technology for smart diagnosis and therapies for various diseases has lately been the most demanding area for computer-aided diagnostic and treatment research. Exponential breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and machine intelligence technologies could pave the way for identifying challenges afflicting the healthcare industry. Genomics is paving the way for predicting future illnesses, including cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and diabetes. Machine learning advancements have expedited the pace of biomedical informatics research and inspired new branches of computational biology. Furthermore, knowing gene relationships has resulted in developing more accurate models that can effectively detect patterns in vast volumes of data, making classification models important in various domains. Recurrent Neural Network models have a memory that allows them to quickly remember knowledge from previous cycles and process genetic data. The present work focuses on type 2 diabetes prediction using gene sequences derived from genomic DNA fragments through automated feature selection and feature extraction procedures for matching gene patterns with training data. The suggested model was tested using tabular data to predict type 2 diabetes based on several parameters. The performance of neural networks incorporating Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) components, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and Gated Recurrent Units (GRU) was tested in this research. The model’s efficiency is assessed using the evaluation metrics such as Sensitivity, Specificity, Accuracy, F1-Score, and Mathews Correlation Coefficient (MCC). The suggested technique predicted future illnesses with fair Accuracy. Furthermore, our research showed that the suggested model could be used in real-world scenarios and that input risk variables from an end-user Android application could be kept and evaluated on a secure remote server.

In order to minimize losses in the distribution network, integrating non-conventional energy sources such as wind, tidal, solar, and so on, into the grid has been proposed in many papers as a viable solution. Using electronic power equipment to control nonlinear loads impacts the quality of power. The unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) is a FACTS device with back-to-back converters that are coupled together with a DC-link capacitor. Conventional training algorithms used by ANNs, such as the Back Propagation and Levenberg–Marquardt algorithms, can become trapped in local optima, which motivates the use of ANNs trained by evolutionary algorithms. This work presents a hybrid controller, based on the soccer league algorithm, and trained by an artificial neural network controller (S-ANNC), for use in the shunt active power filter. This work also presents a fuzzy logic controller for use in the series active power filter of the UPQC that is associated with the solar photovoltaic system and battery storage system. The synchronization of phases is created using a self-tuning filter (STF), in association with the unit vector generation method (UVGM), for the superior performance of UPQC during unbalanced/distorted supply voltage conditions; therefore, the necessity of the phase-locked-loop, low-pass filters, and high-pass filters are totally eliminated. The STF is used for separating harmonic and fundamental components, in addition to generating the synchronization phases of series and shunt filters. The prime objective of the suggested S-ANNC is to minimize mean square error in order to achieve a fast action that will retain the DC-link voltage’s constant value during load/irradiation variations, suppress current harmonics and power–factor enhancement, mitigate sagging/swelling/disturbances in the supply voltage, and provide appropriate compensation for unbalanced supply voltages. The performance analysis of S-ANNC, using five test cases for several combinations of loads/supply voltages, demonstrates the supremacy of the suggested S-ANNC. Comparative analysis was carried out using the GA, PSO, and GWO training methods, in addition to other methods that exist in the literature. The S-ANNC showed an extra-ordinary performance in terms of diminishing total harmonic distortion (THD); thus PF was improved and voltage distortions were reduced.

Rice (Oryza sativa) is Indias major crop. India has the most land dedicated to rice agriculture, which includes both brown and white rice. Rice cultivation creates jobs and contributes significantly to the stability of the gross domestic product (GDP). Recognizing infection or disease using plant images is a hot study topic in agriculture and the modern computer era. This study paper provides an overview of numerous methodologies and analyses key characteristics of various classifiers and strategies used to detect rice illnesses. Papers from the last decade are thoroughly examined, covering studies on several rice plant diseases, and a survey based on essential aspects is presented. The survey aims to differentiate between approaches based on the classifier utilized. The survey provides information on the many strategies used to identify rice plant disease. Furthermore, model for detecting rice disease using enhanced convolutional neural network (CNN) is proposed. Deep neural networks have had a lot of success with picture categorization challenges. We show how deep neural networks may be utilized for plant disease recognition in the context of image classification in this research. Finally, this paper compares the existing approaches based on their accuracy.

The economic sustainability of aquifers across the world relies on accurate and rapid estimates of groundwater storage changes, but this becomes difficult due to the absence of in-situ groundwater surveys in most areas. By closing the water balance, hydrologic remote sensing measures offer a possible method for quantifying changes in groundwater storage. However, it is uncertain to what extent remote sensing data can provide an accurate assessment of these changes. Therefore, a new framework is implemented in this work for predicting the underground water level using remote sensing images. Generally, the water level is defined into five levels: Critical, Overexploited, Safe, Saline, and Semi-critical, based on water quantity. In this manuscript, the remote sensing images were acquired from remote sensing images. At first, Wiener filtering was employed for preprocessing. Secondly, the Vegetation Indexes (VI) (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Normalized Difference Snow Index (NDSI), Infrared index (IRI), Radar Vegetation Index (RVI)), and statistical features (entropy, Root Mean Square (RMS), Skewness, and Kurtosis) were extracted from the preprocessed remote sensing images. Then, the extracted features were combined as a novel hydro index, which was fed to the Ensemble Classifier (EC): Neural Networks (NN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and improved Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN) models for underground water level prediction in the remote sensing images. The obtained results prove the efficacy of the proposed framework by using different performance measures. The results shows that the False Positive Rate (FPR) of the proposed EC model is 0.0083, which is better than that of existing methods. On the other hand, the proposed EC model has a high accuracy of 0.90, which is superior to the existing traditional models: Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network, Naïve Bayes (NB), Random Forest (RF), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (Bi-GRU).

Loan prediction is one of the most important and most prominent research areas in the field of banking and insurance sectors. In the modern environment identifying and analyzing the patterns of the obtained sample dataset plays a vital role in this era. The loan prediction involves the application of various machine learning algorithms. There are some prediction systems in the market using deep learning and so on. But those are limited with certain features and cannot assist the users beyond those limits. The loan prediction project is developed using machine learning algorithms such as logistic regression. The Python programming language is used for the implementation of the code which has been developed in Colab and the html pages are developed for deployment of website using Visual Studio code. The proposed system can deliver high accuracy results and moderate loss for training and validate data. Finally, the results show the model implemented with high accuracy. Further, this work can be extended in order to improve the focus where the high accuracy can be obtained.

Software defect prediction is essential for ensuring the reliability and robustness of software prototypes during development. The current study have proposed a novel strategy that integrates explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) techniques with adaptive feature engineering and autoencoder neural networks to improve defect prediction accuracy and interpretability. Adaptive feature engineering processes input data to identify critical features, while autoencoders handle non-linear datasets, reduce noise, and generate meaningful latent representations by learning underlying data patterns. A Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) is employed to classify code snippets and localize defects, leveraging its ability to manage complex data patterns and diverse input features. To enhance transparency and trust in model predictions, the XAI component provides insights into feature significance and classification outcome. Empirical evaluations were conducted on the PROMISE dataset, with performance assessed using metrics such as sensitivity, specificity, F1-score, and the Matthews correlation coefficient. The proposed approach has demonstrated superior accuracy compared to other defect prediction methods, highlighting its effectiveness in identifying defective code snippets and enhancing software quality.
