Dr. Dawar Khan

Currently, I am working as Assistant Professor at the Interactive Media Design Lab, directed by Professor Hirokazu Kato, at Graduate School of Information Science, Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan. I received my PhD in Computer Science from the NLPR, Institute of Automation, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), Beijing China, in 2018. Here, I worked under the supervision of Professor Xiaopeng Zhang and Professor Dong-Ming Yan. My PhD research lies in computer graphics, specifically in mesh generations and high quality surface remehsing. I also worked on molecular surface remeshing. I was awarded with 2018-Excellent International Graduates Award of the UCAS. Prior to that, I did my BS and MS from University of Malakand Pakistan, in 2011 and 2014 respectively. My research interests include Computer Graphics, Computational Geometry, Mesh Processing, 3D Reconstruction, Computer vision, Mixed Reality, and Technology-enhanced learning.
