The study set out to find out how common urine incontinence was in the community and how it affected people’s quality of life and other relevant characteristics. Patients who applied to Family Medicine Outpatient Clinics were asked to complete a questionnaire as part of the study. Participants who consented to participate in the study were given access to a questionnaire that included the Incontinence Quality of Life Scale (I-QOL), the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Short Form (ICIQ-SF), and the Three Incontinence Questions (3IS) form. There were 18.5% of male participants and 81.5% of female participants in terms of gender distribution. It was found that urine incontinence affected 29.9% of the individuals. The median ICIQ-SF Score values varied statistically significantly depending on whether incontinence was present (P < .001). The ICIQ-SF Score median values according to incontinence types showed a statistically significant difference (P < .001). The total score of the incontinence quality of life scale showed a statistically significant variation based on the presence of incontinence (P < .001). For people without incontinence, the median overall score on the incontinence quality of life scale was 82, whereas for people with incontinence, it was 67. Urinary incontinence (UI) is a frequent health issue that can have a significant negative impact on a person’s quality of life because of the psychosocial impacts, lifestyle limits, and social effects. As a result, it is critical to comprehend the impacts of urine incontinence, create support and treatment plans, and strive toward early patient detection to enhance quality of life.

General practices (GPs), called family physicians in certain countries, are the cornerstone of primary health care. The increase in average lifespan and, thereby, the number of chronic diseases has recently increased the workload of GPs and decreased the time spent on the patient. Implementations of Artificial intelligence (AI)-powered systems are essential in GPs to facilitate the jobs of health professionals. Implementing AI-driven systems is expected to help health professionals diagnose and treat. AI involves the machine simulation of human cognitive capabilities, encompassing a range of technologies, including deep learning and machine learning. AI is currently being used across various applications in medicine and continues to evolve, and its role in medicine is expected to become increasingly prominent. AI-enhance sensor systems can continuously monitor physiological parameters and generate personalized medicinal therapy. However, the employment of AI in GPs is still in the very early phase. AI is a tool to aid healthcare professionals in improving the accuracy and speed of diagnosis rather than a replacement for their expertise. This review will focus on applying artificial intelligence in general practices (GPs).

Objectives: Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) is a chronic condition that requires continuous management and places a substantial psychosocial burden on families, particularly on parents responsible for daily care. This study aimed to evaluate the psychosocial adaptation of parents of children with T1D and to investigate the relationship between parental psychosocial outcomes and sociodemographic as well as clinical factors. Methods: This analytical cross-sectional study was conducted between April and June 2025 at the Pediatric Endocrinology Outpatient Clinic of Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, Türkiye. A total of 328 parents of children aged 0–18 years with T1D were included. Data were collected using a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Parent Diabetes Distress Scale (PDDS), and the Diabetes Family Impact Scale (DFIS). Children’s most recent HbA 1c levels were obtained from medical records. Statistical analyses were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 26.0. Results: Higher diabetes-related distress and greater family impact were observed among female parents, single parents, and those with lower education and income levels (p<0.05). A weak positive correlation was found between the duration of the child’s T1D and perceived financial burden (r=0.21, p<0.05). No significant association was detected between HbA 1c levels and parental psychosocial adaptation. PDDS and DFIS total scores showed a moderate positive correlation (r=0.43, p<0.001). Conclusions: Parents of children with T1D experience significant psychosocial challenges influenced mainly by sociodemographic factors rather than glycemic control. Integrating psychosocial screening and family-centered support into pediatric diabetes care and primary health services may improve family well-being.

This letter addresses the study by Albayrak and Öz evaluating the quality and reliability of YouTube videos on Raynaud’s phenomenon, which found that nearly one-third of the content was of low quality and that popularity was not associated with accuracy. Using the framework of quinary prevention, the authors highlight the risks posed by digital health misinformation. Quinary prevention aims to reduce harm caused by unreliable health information and to promote accurate, evidence-based content. Within this context, misleading online resources related to Raynaud’s phenomenon are considered a potential source of informational iatrogenic harm. Such content may increase patient anxiety, encourage unverified self-care practices, delay appropriate medical consultation, and hinder effective patient–physician communication. The letter emphasises the responsibility of healthcare professionals, particularly rheumatologists, to actively counter misinformation by producing and disseminating scientifically accurate, patient-centred educational materials on digital platforms. In addition, scientific journals and academic institutions are encouraged to support research that monitors online content quality and develops strategies to address misinformation. The authors conclude that adopting a quinary prevention perspective is essential for improving patient safety, strengthening digital health literacy, and maintaining evidence-based clinical practice in the contemporary information environment.

In modern healthcare services, patient safety is a primary goal. With technological advancements, the complexity of healthcare services increases, which in turn creates increased pressure on health professionals during decision-making processes and can lead to errors worldwide. Communication gaps, human factors, patient-originated issues, technical failures, and inadequate policies have been identified as the main causes of medical errors. While research shows that errors stem from human nature and are inevitable, it is emphasized that it is possible to develop methods that enhance patient safety. Utilizing digital technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services is a crucial strategy. Innovations such as wearable technologies, mobile devices, digital media-delivered education and consulting services, telehealth applications, 3D printers, clinical decision support systems, and implantable biosensors encompass advancements in the digital health field. This research aims to analyze the complex and dynamic structure of healthcare services in the 21st century, especially considering the opportunities presented by the integration of artificial intelligence and genomic data, within the scope of the relevant literature.
