Dr. Franz-Georg Simon has been head of the Contaminant Transfer and Environmental Technologies division at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Berlin since 1998. Before joining BAM, he was a group leader in the Department of Environmental Technologies at the ABB Corporate Research Centre in Switzerland. He studied chemistry at the universities of Mainz and Frankfurt/Main and completed his PhD studies at the Max-Planck Institute for Chemistry.
