Filippo Ubertini received his B.S., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Perugia and the University of Pavia in 2003, 2005, and 2009, respectively. He has been a Full Professor of Structural Design at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Perugia since October 1st, 2018, to the present. Prof. Ubertini’s research focuses on the field of structural health monitoring, with an emphasis on historic structures and bridges, based on vibration measurements and the use of smart multifunctional construction materials (self-sensing concretes and bricks). His research topics also cover experimental structural dynamics, vibration structural control, and wind effects on structures.
