His research work focuses on transition metal-catalyzed coupling reactions and medicinal chemistry. He has a research fellowship under the guidance of Prof. Carlos Roque D. Correia, from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He has worked independently on the synthesis of novel antimalarial compounds.
