Washington Velasquez received a Ph.D. degree in telematics system engineering and a master’s degree in telematics services and network engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Madrid, Spain. He is currently a Professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, Guayaquil, Ecuador. He has authored/co-authored several articles in indexed journals and has led projects related to sensing and networking. He also holds international certifications in UBIQUITI, HUAWEI, and MIKROTIK. His research interests include telemetry, remote control, smart cities, and big data.
