MUHAMMAD NOOR AMIN ZAKARIAH joined the Department of Geosciences, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in May 2014. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences (Geology) from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Malaysia. Then, he received a Master’s Degree in Environmental and Engineering Geophysics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) with research on seismic interpretation. Before joining UTP, he worked as a site geologist at two engineering firms; IKRAM Engineering Sdn. Bhd. and Bumimetro Engineering Sdn. Bhd. His research interest is specifically on integrating geophysical methods for environmental assessment, mineral exploration, basin exploration and engineering issues. He uses to teach Seismic Methods, Seismic Data Processing, Rock Physics and Non-Seismic Methods at UTP. Currently, his research focus is on groundwater basin development by using geophysical methods for his PhD.
