António Manuel Ramos has a Msc degree (1996-2001) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (2002-2005), earning both from the University of Aveiro. He has taught courses at Aveiro Norte (UA), ESAD and ISVOUGA. During his career, he has worked in areas of the metal-mechanical industry related to agricultural and forestry equipment and maintenance. At the University of Aveiro, he has worked in the areas of product development, systems engineering and, more specifically, medical devices and industrial equipment. His speciality is the development of biomechanical devices and instruments, an area of research that includes the development of medical technology in varied applications, ranging from the prevention of major traumatic injuries to new devices in different fields.
