Salem Bashmal is an Associate professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University, Canada in 2010, MS in KFPUM and BS in KFUPM in the area of Dynamics and Vibration. He has been actively involved in research projects in the field of rotordynamics, flow-induced vibrations, micro-systems, engineering mechanics, computational modeling and health monitoring. Since joining KFUPM in 2011, Dr. Salem has been a member in several externally funded projects carried out by the Research Institute, the Deanship of Scientific Research at KFUPM, KACST, SABIC, Saudi Aramco. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. He received the Excellence in Academic Advising award in 2018.
