In 2004 he graduated in Geography from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). In 2010 he sustained his doctoral thesis at the UCM on the impact of climate change on the glaciers of the Nevado Coropuna (Region of Arequipa). He has specialized in geomorphology, change climate change, cosmogenic dating and research on the interactions between the climate change and the cryosphere (glaciers, rock glaciers, snow and permafrost). Member founder of the High Mountain Physical Geography Research Group (UCM), among 2004 and 2015 he has participated in 17 research projects. He has also been Principal Investigator in 2 projects financed by institutions peruvian He has published 10 articles for scientific journals, 2 books, 5 book chapters and 54 papers in international conferences. He is the coordinator of the research program CRYOPERU.
