Kamila Sabino Batista earned a BS in Nutrition (2015) and a PhD in Nutrition Sciences (2021) from the Federal University of Paraíba. She is now a scholarship researcher at the Semi Arid National Institute. Her work in nutrition sciences has resulted in six publications as principal author and twelve publications as co-author; presentations and a course, and the Experimental Biology and Medicine Outstanding Reviewer Award. Her research interests include bioactive compounds, byproducts, dyslipidemia, chronic diseases,
functional foods, the gut-liver axis, gut modulation, and potential nutraceuticals.
