Piero Malcovati graduated with a degree in electronic engineering from the University of Pavia, Italy in 1991. He received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from ETH Zurich in 1996. From 1996 to 2001, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering, University of Pavia. From 2002 to 2017, he was an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering, University of Pavia. Since 2017, he has been a Full Professor with the University of Pavia. His research interests include microsensor interface circuits, power electronics circuits and high-performance data converters.
