Dr. Roger Moya received his B.S from the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, Master in Science from the Universidad de Concepción-Chile and PhD from the Universidade de São Paulo-Brazil. He joined the Forestry School of Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica and has served on committees for a large number organizations of Costa Rica. He has authored more than 150 scientific papers and 8 books. He is a fellow of the National Academic of Science of Costa Rica and fellow of the International Academy of Wood Science.
