I am a Professor at Kristiania University of Applied Sciences, working at the intersection of research, executive education, and organizational development, with a particular focus on self-leadership. My overarching interest is how individuals, leaders, and organizations can strengthen the “inside” of work through self-development. This includes building self-awareness, resilience, meaning, supportive relationships, self-efficacy, and health-promoting practices that enable sustainable performance and well-being. My current research includes collaboration with a Nordic hospital to develop an evidence-based approach to psychosocial sick leave, linking causes, prevention, and return-to-work processes. In parallel, I collaborate with a Nordic labor union on research and learning initiatives related to inclusion and diversity, work happiness, emotions at work, leadership experiences, collaboration skills, and self-leadership. Across my recent publications, I have addressed topics such as: • Work happiness as a multidimensional phenomenon, including key sources and emotional experiences at work • Emotions in organizational life, including how emotions shape coping, motivation, collaboration, and performance • Health-promoting self-leadership as a practical capability for well-being and sustainable performance • Organizational conditions associated with sick leave risk, psychosocial strain, and healthier work cultures I also develop myleadership, a research-to-practice ecosystem.
