Information

Dr. Syed Shahabuddin completed his M.Sc. in Materials Chemistry in 2011 at Jamia Millia Islamia, India. He was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in September 2016. He was an RA under the High Impact Research (HIR) grant from October 2013 to June 2016. He has served as Assistant Manager in Samtel Avionics Limited for almost three years in the research and development of avionics grade displays. Formerly, he worked as a Senior Research Fellow (senior lecturer) at the Research Centre for Nano-Materials and Energy Technology (RCNMET), Sunway University, Malaysia, for more than two years. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar, and Gujrat. He has published more than 90 research articles in international journals of repute and presented 15 papers at international/national conferences. He has successfully completed two research projects as a PI and two research projects as a CO-I, and he is currently the Co-I for eight running projects with different institutes in Malaysia. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC) and a reviewer of many high-impact journals. His current research focuses on the synthesis of nanomaterials, 2D-MXene, graphene, conducting polymer nanocomposites for waste lubricant oil and water treatment, photocatalysis, supercapacitors, DSSCs, nanofluids for solar thermal applications, and phase-change materials.
