The maintenance of oil pumps is a complex task for any operating organization, and for an industrial enterprise in the oil and gas sector of the economy, this issue has a high degree of urgency. One of the reasons for this is a wide spread of pumping equipment in all areas of oil and gas enterprises. At the same time, an aggressive environment, uneven load, remote facilities, and harsh climatic zones (especially in the areas of the Arctic region or production platforms) are factors that make it relevant to develop special systems that help or simplify the maintenance of pumping equipment. Dynamic modeling is one of the modern technologies which allows for solving the urgent issue of assessing the technical condition of equipment. It is the basis of systems that carry out diagnostics and prognostic calculations and allow for assessing the dynamic state of objects under various conditions of their operation, among other functions. Augmented reality technology is a technology that allows for reducing the time for equipment maintenance by reducing the time for searching and processing various information required in the maintenance process. This paper presents an investigation of the effectiveness of an augmented reality and a dynamic simulation system collaboration in oil pump maintenance. Since there is insufficient research on the joint application of these two technologies, the urgent issue is to prove the effectiveness of such collaboration. For this purpose, this paper provides a description of the system structure, gives a description of the development process of the augmented reality system application and tests the application using Microsoft HoloLens 2.

Qualification of employees who operate technological processes directly influences the safety of production. However, the employees’’ qualification cannot completely exclude human factor. Today, there are many technologies that can minimize or eliminate human factor impact on production safety ensuring. The augmented reality technology is an example of this technology. Nowadays, the augmented reality technologies and industrial technologies integration process moves to a new level of development. These technologies have huge experience, which has been accumulated in a long period of time. -This new level turns available by this experience combination and integration; it brings additional profit to the enterprise and can be a basis for completely new technologies. This paper shows an example of combination of augmented reality technology and oil pumps maintenance. For researching of efficiency of augmented reality system for oil pump maintenance, the laboratory unit with Grundfos vertical electric centrifugal pump (CR15-4 A-FGJ-AE-HQQE) was used. The laboratory unit is a physical model of one of the continuous oil processes. The oil pump of this laboratory unit is object of this research. The algorithm of servicing of oil pump was developed. The test of system and algorithms were carried out with four groups of people: the first one had only instructions to use on hand, the second one only used the internal recommendations of the system, the third one used only the help of an expert, and the fourth used internal recommendations and, if necessary, contacted the expert. The results show the efficiency and actuality of augmented reality technology for maintenance of industrial equipment, especially for the equipment operated in remote Arctic conditions.

Today the industry is facing a shortage of skilled workers and an aging workforce, which will eventually lead to a loss of knowledge. But augmented reality technology can connect field workers with experts who are able to provide remote guidance in real time. The subsequent advantage is that the information obtained by AR devices can be used as accumulated successful experience in the future, which facilitates decision-making in specific business processes of the company. With AR, employees gain experience and skills much faster. This paper shows the application of augmented reality technology in the maintenance of electromechanical equipment. The main functions of the augmented reality system for servicing electrical equipment are presented, the solution to the problem of integrating an augmented reality software application with existing automation systems is shown, and the methods of interaction of the developed software module with third-party modules, for example, various analytical modules, etc. are described.
The well-known methods of scene extraction on video are focused on analyzing the similarity between frames. However, they do not all analyze the composition of the image scene, which may remain the same during maintenance. Therefore, this paper proposes an algorithm for equipment maintenance scene detection based on human hand tracking. It is based on the assumption that, when servicing technological equipment, it is possible to determine the change in repair action by the position of the service engineer’s hands. Thus, certain information and the algorithm that processes these changes allow us to segment the video into actions performed during the service. We process the time series obtained by moving the hand position using spectral singular value decomposition for multivariate time series. To verify the algorithm, we performed maintenance on the control cabinet of a mining conveyor and recorded the work on a first-person video, which was processed using the developed method. As a result, we obtained some scenes corresponding to opening the control cabinet, de-energizing the unit, and checking the contacts with a multimeter buzzer test. A third-person video of motor service was similarly processed. The algorithm demonstrated the results in separate scenes of removing screws, working with a multimeter, and disconnecting and replacing motor parts.
In the era of digital technology, more and more of it finds application in various industries. This paper proposes to use technology of augmented reality for maintenance of stirred tank reactors. The proposed approach can be applied to any type of equipment, as it can be easily integrated with the existing automation systems and does not require much investment at the initial stage, implying gradual optimization and functionality build-up. This paper describes the basic set of functional requirements of an augmented reality-based maintenance system, methods of assessing the system performance, as well as scaling-up and streamlining prospects. The paper also describes how such systems can be integrated with existing control systems of a production company. The effectiveness of the developed augmented reality-based system was verified by determining the average execution time of each service stage and processing the outcomes using the Mann-Whitney U test. The use of the augmented reality system resulted in the reduction of the average service time by 2.3 times, while the maintenance efficiency increased by 5%.
The oil&gas enterprises have their own safety concerns list. Poor maintenance of equipment is one of the top safety concerns for many enterprises. There are a lot of methods of increasing of safety, but its shouldn’t be used alone. A complex approach and addition the modern technologies in safety ensuring make possible not only increase the quality but increase the efficiently of production. There are a lot of kinds of quality improving of maintenance of electromechanical equipment, one of them are the augmented reality system. This is a new technology and there are no methods and effective estimation for developing and using this technology in industrial production. Developing the special unified modules of augmented reality for maintenance of electromechanical equipment is the actual task. The aim of this research - to identify possible uses, to estimate the effectiveness in ensuring the safety of production and to develop a way of integrating into typical process control systems of the augmented reality system for maintenance of electromechanical equipment.
