The maintenance of oil pumps is a complex task for any operating organization, and for an industrial enterprise in the oil and gas sector of the economy, this issue has a high degree of urgency. One of the reasons for this is a wide spread of pumping equipment in all areas of oil and gas enterprises. At the same time, an aggressive environment, uneven load, remote facilities, and harsh climatic zones (especially in the areas of the Arctic region or production platforms) are factors that make it relevant to develop special systems that help or simplify the maintenance of pumping equipment. Dynamic modeling is one of the modern technologies which allows for solving the urgent issue of assessing the technical condition of equipment. It is the basis of systems that carry out diagnostics and prognostic calculations and allow for assessing the dynamic state of objects under various conditions of their operation, among other functions. Augmented reality technology is a technology that allows for reducing the time for equipment maintenance by reducing the time for searching and processing various information required in the maintenance process. This paper presents an investigation of the effectiveness of an augmented reality and a dynamic simulation system collaboration in oil pump maintenance. Since there is insufficient research on the joint application of these two technologies, the urgent issue is to prove the effectiveness of such collaboration. For this purpose, this paper provides a description of the system structure, gives a description of the development process of the augmented reality system application and tests the application using Microsoft HoloLens 2.

The paper presents a feasibility study for full-electric aircraft in terms of a conversion design. The advancement of energy storage technologies has given the potential to fully electrify future transport systems. The means of electrifying aircraft are to reduce carbon emission and increase efficiency in air transport. This paper studies the feasibility of developing an all-electric short to midrange aircraft. The study investigates the possibility of replacing the aircraft’s conventional system with an all-electric drive train. Using the current conventional aircraft model, different types of electrical systems are compared to examine their advantages and limitations. The parameters of De Havilland Canada Dash 8 (DH8D) and the average flight are used to analyze the feasibility of completing a desired range. The results show that the electrification of aircraft with the studied propulsion system is not feasible for the conventional range, but producing an all-electric aircraft is possible when the technology allows for it. Additionally, a reliability analysis is conducted for both the conventional and the electrified version of aircraft, including different electric topologies, whereas a multiple electric motor topology is nearly as available as the conventional one.

This article describes an approach of mathematical processing of signals (seismograms) from five blasthole charges from experimental blasting, each 3 m deep, with equal explosive weight (1 kg), and equidistant (3 m) from one other. The seismic explosive waves were measured at a 13 to 25 m distance. This article provides spectral analysis, wavelet analysis, and fractal analysis results. It defines the dependence of dominant frequency and amplitude on the distance to the blast center. According to the experimental data, the dominant frequency is calculated as y = 1.0262x0.2622 and the amplitude dependency as y = 18.139x−2.276. Furthermore, the analysis shows that 80% of the entire signal is concentrated in half the area of frequency range, i.e., the low frequency zone is of the most interest. This research defines the dependence of distance on the energy value of signal wavelet analysis. It is demonstrated that, according to the experimental data, the 12th frequency range is closely correlated with the distance values. This article gives the definitions of entropy, correlation dimension, and predictability time. This experiment shows that entropy and correlation dimension decrease but predictability time increases when the distance to the blast center increases. This article also describes the method for determining optimal drilling and blasting parameters, and concludes with the possibility of applying the analytical results to predicting and enhancing drilling and blasting operations.

Mining enterprises are widely introducing digital technologies and automation is one of such tools. Granularity monitoring, namely, the size determination of rock mass pieces is a common operational component of the processes that extract minerals by open-pit mining. The article proposes an approach that, in addition to the lump size distribution, makes it possible to estimate the lump form distribution as well. To investigate the effectiveness of monitoring the form of blasted rock mass lumps, the authors conducted experiments in four stages related to the rock condition. They include geological occurrence, explosive crushing, trommelling, and mill crushing. The relationship between these stages is presented and the change in the lumps fragment form is traced. The present article proposes an informational and analytical model of the processes at mining enterprises, extracting minerals by open-pit mining, as well as an algorithm for determining the lumps form and obtaining their distribution in the rock mass.

Abststract: The present paper deals with the vehicle’s traction electric drive, consisting of several various electric power sources. One of the main requirements for such systems are the safety and sustainable operations, achieved largely the implementation of an uninterrupted supply of the vehicle’s propulsion system with an electric power. One way of realization of the required level of operational sustainability is usage of Multi Power Source Traction Drive. This type of vehicle’s propulsion systems is widely applied on the ships, trains, planes, heavy trucks. The most important impact on the sustainability of functioning of the ship’s propulsion system have operational conditions, especially for the cargo ship, operating in Arctic region. This paper presents the application of the LZ-transform method to assessing the important parameter of the vehicle’s operational sustainability - availability of the multi-state (MSS) Multi Power Source Traction Drive, which includes Diesel-Generators and Gas-Turbine-Generators considering the impact of the real operating conditions. Straightforward Markov method applied to solve this problem will require building of a system’s model with numerous numbers of states and solve a corresponding system of multiple differential equations. LZ-transform method, drastically simplified the solution.

The problem to ensure the safety of objects which are in the area of blasting operations, ensuring the destruction of hard rocks, remains relevant. The article presents the results of a large-scale experiment to determine the safe conditions for conducting drilling and blasting operations near the active gas pipeline. The simplest and most reliable way to ensure the safety of the protected object from seismic impact is to reduce the intensity of the seismic wave, which is achieved by changing the parameters of drilling and blasting operations. This requires research to determine the impact of blasting operations on the parameters of seismic waves and the development of methods for measuring these parameters. The paper presents a detailed analysis of the seismic blast wave impact on the displacement of the ground and the model gas pipeline. The features of seismic monitoring during blasting operations near the active gas pipeline are shown. The seismic coefficients and attenuation coefficient of seismic waves are determined. It is proved that the readings of the seismic receivers on the surface and in the depth of the massive differ by two or more times.
